Nel cuore di Chelsea, a fianco del parco dell’High Line, una rugginosa autofficina diventa una raffinata e accogliente pizzeria. Il progetto, attraverso il sapiente utilizzo dell’illuminazione e dei materiali di rivestimento, definisce il dialogo tra l’area lounge e la sala principale: la prima, soffusa e raccolta, invita a sorseggiare un buon vino, la seconda, alta e ariosa, risulta conviviale e godereccia, anche grazie alla vista del forno a legna. I rivestimenti in legno scuro, le luci a incandescenza e le ampie pareti in mattoni conferiscono all’ambiente un carattere vissuto ma familiare, rassicurante ma contemporaneo.

In the heart of Chelsea, next to the High Line park, a rusty garage becomes a stylish and cozy pizzeria. The project, through the clever use of lighting and trim materials, defines the dialogue between the lounge area and the main dining room: the first, soft and enclosed, invites you to enjoy a good wine, the second, high and airy, is convivial and enjoyable, thanks to the vision of the wood stove. The dark wood paneling, incandescent lights and the large brick walls give the place a character lived but familiar, reassuring but contemporary.
